Mining prospects now held in Far North Queensland

The earlier history on these is adequately addressed in the Annual Reports by Montgomery John Omodei “EPM18361 Sunday Creek Extension (SCE) Annual ReportS.

These matters have been a continuous part of work in progress. A specialised geophysical evaluation is currently being carried out on the sub-audio magnetics (SAM) data captured by the Holder in his adjoing mineral titles since August 2007.  In looking at the MDL298 data which has been given to QDEX in the Holder’s past annual reports, there is an EQMMIP image in there which is a useful average off the off time windows. The image is the average of the mid to late off time channels with some overlap between "EM" and "IP" information.

Looking at the image there is a broad "conductive" zone that mirrors the central EQMMR anomaly with a slightly more intense zone to the south west of the magnetite Bleb.  Further analysis of the full off-time data set of EPM15896 and MDL298 is warranted maybe with some comparison against the drill logs from the Whispering Ridge MDL298 and Sunday Creek EPM15896 drill programmes.  This concurs with the TMI/RTP data from SAM, BHP and Shell surveys which show a connection between the major anomalies to the south west identified in the Shell/BHP aerial survey interpretations within EPM15896/EPM18361 and MDL298.

High resolution mapping using SAM survey data has been proven as the most accurate medium for input in the identification of new drill targets, mineral deposit styles and the calculation of potential resource size.  There have been four (4) major areas (see DIAGRAM 2) between EPM15896 where SAM survey capture and interpretation are currently being re-evaluated by new software/technology.  These areas are:-

VOXI files (see DIAGRAMS 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8) have been created for the above areas using VOXI Earth Modelling to harness the power of the Cloud.  This software has only recently become available through Geosoft as part of their Oasis Montag 7.5 package.  Our extensive works in processing and reviewing end products have not been published at this time as an evaluation by a technique called Magnetisation Vector Inversion (MVI).  MVI incorporates both remanent and induced magnetisation without prior knowledge of the direction or strength of remanent magnetisation.

Some 10.94 sq kms (see DIAGRAM 2) of SAM (Sub-Audio Magnetics) raw survey data captured in EPM15896 was used to create VOXI’s through Geosoft – Oasis Montaj for geophysical inversion producing 2D and 3D earth models (see DIAGRAMS 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8).  The new VOXI data has been matched to audited drill data and new drill holes are being planned as “Work in Progress”.  We now know alternative drill targets for MDL298 Zone A areas and from this drilling, plan the future drilling of the two new larger deposits along the strike line within EPM15896/EPM18361 (to the North and South), as they have no outcrops.

Diagram 5 - All anomalies combined shown in MDL298 and surrounding area EPM15896 by a Whispering Ridge 3D image from a “top side view” is from a VOXI created from raw sub-audio magnetics (SAM) data over a 1.2 x 1.2 km area.  Automatic depth cut-off used at a standard constraint (possibly 500/600 deep).  For this rough view, the RL ground was set at 700 m.  Vector Magnetism (Blue), Magnetic Intensity (Green) and Conductive (Pink).

All of the above works now have to be combined with the data associated with EPM18361 and its six (6) main target areas ( nunbered SCE1- to 6) as previously reported in Annual Report EPM18361.
