Sunday Creek - Geological / GeoTechnical Survey to identify area for sub-audio magnetics (SAM's) over Northern, Central, Southern and Mac's magnetite grid systems-prospects 3-5 December 2007
Gap Geophysics Australia Pty Limited (GAP) was commissioned by Queensland Iron Development Corporation Pty Ltd to conduct a geophysical survey using GAP’s proprietary Sub-Audio Magnetics (SAM) technique over two (2) areas at the Sunday Creek Prospect, Mount Garnet, Queensland. The first survey incorporated the area of Whispering Ridge, overlapping into EPM 15896. The second survey, executed over five (5) square kilometres between Conical and Boeing Hills and surrounding areas was carried out during the period 1 August to 10 August 2008. Full details of all works carried out in the second survey area are covered in the Post Activity Report.
The Statement of Work (SOW) specified that GAP was to use its Sub-Audio Magnetics technology to
survey (in WGS 84/ UTM Zone 55 South coordinates) one grid totalling approximately 95 line km
The deliverables for the project were as follows:
A brief report on field activities, interpretation techniques and results.
A digital copy of the Total Magnetic Intensity and Equivalent MMR data in Geosoft GDB and in ASCII XYZ
(.XYZ) format.
A digital copy of the Total Magnetic Intensity and Equivalent MMR data in Geosoft grid (.GRD) format.
Colour images of the processed data as JPEG images.
