Overview of Whispering Ridge and Sunday Creek projects

under exploration and development

For high grade magnetite Snowmist drilled 37 X 50/60m holes in 1997 at Whispering Ridge MDL 298 to a vertical depth of 30 metres each, and we have identified the potential of 1.8 million tonnes of high grade magnetite as it is enough for 12/15 years supply in the Queensland Coal Washery market. The magnetite potential will be in the order of millions of tonnes not more. The potential for base metals, molybdenum and gold within the larger Sunday Creek EPM 15896 is in the order of hundreds of millions of tonnes of ore, and there is also the potential for millions of tonnes of magnetite as well. In particular, the Boeing Hill porphyry molyedenum target and the Osbourne/Ernst Henry iron oxide copper gold style of targets occur here.

For Whispering Ridge we propose a new drilling program for 3950 metres of drilling in a series of holes, including four diamond drill holes of 250 metres each, after which we plan a single hole to 400m. Following this, we will have not only the "near surface” potential but also the “true” potential reserve of the whole holding or order of size!!! From the magnetite surface cap the "core" is sheet like; running North-South and dips to the West at a 15-20 degree angle. Before drilling commences our consulting geologists/geophysicists have new technology which will help identify geological targets and depth for both magnetite and other minerals. This Whispering Ridge MDL 298 is just one prospect grid on which we need to do further drilling before we start mining, or otherwise evaluate DSO.

This series of prospects covers an enormous area for both non-ferrous and ferrous metals. Currently scoping trips to the prospect sites are being performed in order to evaluate the definitive studies/data for Mining Development Lease MDL 298 at Whispering Ridge which are surrounded by deposits of Exploration Permit Mining EPM 15896 Sunday Creek with the skarn magnetic gossans, Conical Hill Breccia Pipe (diamond drilled in 1995 by RGC for gold and completed at 186 meters) and the Boeing Hill Porphyry Molybdenite Deposit (also diamond drilled in 1995 by RGC and completed at 200 meters); being a classical porphyry "moly" prospect . There is also the Boundary Deposit and four (4) prospect grids Northern, Central, Southern and Macs; all mapped for outcrop and scree, geology, location, ground magnetics & magnetic susceptibilities. The gold/base metals skarn target relates to the more distal, untested gossan exposures along the Palmerville Fault.

The geological setting for the Boeing Hill Prospect is typical of this style of molybdenum porphyry: a sub-volcanic, granitic intrusion has stopped through a major zone of crustal weakness at the junction of the Palmerville and Burdekin Fault Zones [in layman’s terms, where two continents collided millions of years ago]. The granite associated breccia bodies, shatter zones, dykes and wallrocks have since been intensely altered to: (a) sericite-quartz-pyrite rocks, (b) a deeper core suite of secondary biotite, magnetite, and potassium feldspar rocks. Soils are enriched in molybdenum overlaying the entire Boeing Hill Prospect. Associated stream sediments are all equally anomalous in molybdenum, selenium and tellurium. Numerous outcrop and scree samples are also anomalous in molybdenum. Earlier they tested a zone of brecciation and alteration in the NW quadrant of the granitic intrusion and discovered widespread, low grade disseminated molybdenite in stock works. However their ground magnetometry suggested an accurate magnetic low coincident with a mapped 200m x 300m zone of shattered and highly altered quartz stock work in granite which may be the focus for molybdenum deposition. This earlier data confirms the prospect to be molybdenite bearing porphyry (no rocks were assayed for tungsten), but does not define the location of the ore body.

The linear group of massive gossans crop out for over a kilometre, striking sympathetically with the NW trend of the Palmerville Fault. The gossans are variously anomalous in copper, molybdenum, tungsten, tellurium, selenium and thallium; and vary in thickness from a few metres to over 30 metres. There has been no systematic mapping, sampling, costeaning or geophysics over these occurrences, nor have they been tested by drilling. They represent an attractive target in themselves. The wall rocks are highly magnetic, molonitised and siliceous with pyritic paint on micro-fractures and traces of chalcopyrite.

A separate area of magnetic disturbance under deep lateritic cover halfway between the Boeing Hill Prospect and the Conical Hill Breccia Pipe is suggestive of an occulated drilling target (for gold) as well. This could be addressed by the relatively new M.M.I. soil assaying technique. Detailed location sketch maps and technical/commercial data are available to assist prospective farm-in partners/end users to make some preliminary decisions for involvement.
